ALLIED KITCHEN & BATH HOSTS AND SPONSORS COOK-OFF COMPETITION BETWEEN NFL PLAYERS AND MILITARY VETERANS TO RAISE MONEY FOR UNITED WAY OF BROWARD COUNTY

Last week, on Wednesday, January 29th, Allied Kitchen & Bath were delighted to host and sponsor the Master Chef Healthy Cook-Off Event with all proceeds of the event being donated to United Way of Broward County’s Mission United and the Eat-To-Play Hands-On cooking event for young athletes that will take place in Atlanta, GA this summer.

A number of NFL players including Kenny Ladler from the Washington Redskins, Phillip Dorsett from the New England Patriots, Deon Lacey from the Miami Dolphins, Jaylen Watkins from the LA Chargers and Stephen Weatherly from the Minnesota Vikings competed against seven military veterans to cook a number of simple healthy meals with the purpose of highlighting the importance of healthy eating in order to achieve a balanced lifestyle and better mental health.

Bill Feinberg, owner of Allied Kitchen & Bath, was one of the judges and delivered an inspiring speech about promoting health and wellbeing among veterans and young athletes along with Kathleen Cannon, President/CEO of United Way of Broward County who also gave a speech at the event.

The military veterans were ultimately victorious and after the cook-off the 75 local notables in attendance then went on to enjoy a night of entertainment, networking and catering provided by Lenore Nolan Ryan Catering & Cooking.
