A visit to Allied Kitchen & Bath is like
stepping into a designer magazine, with so
many beautiful vignettes displaying the many
kitchen and bath products they sell. Bill Feinberg
and Joe Feinberg started the business in
1984. Due to their hard work, professionalism
and integrity, the business grew. Of course,
their success is in part due to their parents,
Nate and Harriet Feinberg, plus their two
other brothers, David and Joe Feinberg, who
they enlisted to become part of the family
business.
This year, they will build a new 15,000-
square-foot showroom, and Allied Kitchen& Bath has been named to the prestigious list
of "Big 50 Remodelers in the U.S.," awarded
by the National Association ofRemodelers
Industry. Company President Bill Feinberg
said that quality and service have been the
secret to the company's success.
"We're not going anywhere," said Feinberg."And there is always someone here to
help you."
So whether you are in the dreaming stage
or doing the planning for a new kitchen
or bath, Allied Kitchen & Bath at 616 W.
Oakland Park Blvd. in Fort Lauderdale is the
place to go. There, you will see the latest and
finest available for kitchens and baths, from
cabinetry to appliances to the largest selection
of hardware in South Florida, plus so much more. While they specialize in kitchens and baths for new or used homes, they also have
expertise in space planning, family rooms,
home offices, custom closets and bar units.
The company designs and builds kitchens
that range from $30,000 to over $200,000,
and the revolution that began a few years
ago in appliances and cabinetry continues as
kitchens and baths become more safe, functional
and beautiful.
"Old World" kitchen designs are the rage
of the moment, according to Feinberg. Kitchen
hearths over the stove are in high demand
because they are beautiful, they can be the
focal point of the room, and they can add an
interesting look while hiding the ventilation.
And mixing woods is another growing trend,
like pairing cherry cabinets with a contrasting
wood in a different finish or using an "Old
World" white on an island.
Without question, Feinberg said, the biggest
trend in bathrooms is the bath spa experience.
Because of the busy lifestyle many of
his clients lead, they feel the need for a quiet
place at home. The natural feeling found in
the bath spa is perfect.
Pamela Moskowitz is Allied Kitchen &
Bath's knowledgeable director of special
projects. Her expertise revealed that one of
the newest looks in kitchens is totally integrated
appliances. They completely disappear
into the cabinetry because the control panels
are placed on the inlay and are completely
concealed except when the drawer is open.
The hardware can be replaced with whatever
the client desires.
Moskowitz also noted that warming drawers
and wine coolers are becoming staples in
the kitchen. The dishwasher drawer is fairly
new to the market and has found quick acceptance.
It is small and used in kosher kitchens
as an extra dishwasher or as the primary
dishwasher when space is at a premium.
"The trend is towards professional-style
kitchens," she said.
Feinberg said that one of the biggest
changes in the bathroom is the trend to use
furniture, often antique or antique looking, to
hold the new glass vessels that are works of
art in themselves. The hardware can also be
as varied as the clients. Steam showers, rain
showers, lighting, mirrors and glass tiles are
only a few of the pieces Allied Kitchen &
Bath clients can choose from to tailor their
bathroom to their unique lifestyle.
Allied Kitchen & Bath designs are built to
last a lifetime, and the time-consuming task of
obtaining all necessary permits from the city
or county where the client lives is done by
his company to ensure that all work is done
legally and safely.
"It is a one-stop experience," said Feinberg.
Besides answering all of their clients
design and remodeling questions, Allied
Kitchen & Bath fulfills their needs for
cabinets, counter tops, flooring, appliances,
plumbing, electric and all construction work.
And repeat customers are common- sometimes
three or four times- so Feinberg knows
that the personal attention they give each job
has resulted in custom satisfaction.
"Remodeling is a very tough job," said
Feinberg. "Our job is to give them the look of
their dreams."
